Google is planning to soon add Artificial Intelligence (AI) features to its Google Translate app. According to a report, this new feature will allow users to get more information related to translation and ask additional questions. Additionally, users will also be able to customize the translation based on the text prompt.
According to a report by the Android Authority, AI features may soon be added to Google Translate Android app. According to the report, these features were activated in version 9.3.78.731229477.7 of Google Translate, but the company has not yet launched it officially. Therefore, currently, common users cannot use it.
An ‘Ask a Follow-up’ button will be available in the new interface.
According to the report, a button called “Ask a Follow-up” will appear in the Google Translate app after the new update. This button will appear on the screen after translation, by tapping on which users will be able to access AI-powered features. With this, they can further improve their translation and adjust it as per their needs.
New options to customize translations
When users tap this new button, they will get additional information related to translation. In this, it will be explained why some words were translated and why some words were kept in their original form. Additionally, several pop-up buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen, allowing users to customize their translation. These buttons will include:
- Formal
- Simplify
- Casual
- Alternative Translations
- Rephrase
- Regional Variants
